Ways to Take Part

Students complete the 8-week competition, mentors help teams test assumptions, and judges evaluate the semifinal and final pitches.

01

For Students

Plan for 8 Weeks

Fall 2026 is a selective opportunity for qualified juniors and seniors in the UConn School of Business, with a cohort capped at 40 students. The competition begins with a virtual kickoff workshop on September 18 and concludes with the final round in NYC on November 13, 2026. All participants are invited to attend the Final Four pitches.

02

For Prospective Mentors

Support a Student Team

Mentors meet with a student team to question assumptions, connect company research to the model, and prepare the team to defend its recommendation.

03

For Prospective Judges

Judge the Pitches

Judges will listen to the pitches, ask questions, and evaluate the teams' analyses and recommendations. The virtual semifinal is November 6, and the NYC final is November 13.

A student pitches her team's LBO case during the 2024 final.

Mentors and Judges

How Feedback Tests the Case

Mentors help teams develop the case. Judges test the evidence, model, and risks through questions in the pitch rounds.
