For Alumni Mentors and Judges

Guide one team of four undergraduate students. Students lead the research, analysis, and preparation. Mentors offer expertise, perspective, and feedback.

Meetings With Your Team

Meet weekly or every other week to discuss ideas, offer advice, and give feedback on the team's work. Students prepare for these meetings and coordinate times and format around your availability.

How You Will Help

Be a sounding board as students connect company research, valuation, financing, and risk to their recommendation. Help them question assumptions and strengthen their model, Flash Memo, and pitch.

Organizer Support

Alongside your team meetings, you're invited to group calls with Professor Ghaddar roughly every two to three weeks, often ahead of major submissions. These calls offer a chance to ask questions, discuss what your team needs, and exchange ideas with other mentors. You can also contact Professor Ghaddar between calls.

When You Will Be Involved

Mentoring runs from late September through the November 6 virtual semifinal. Discuss any involvement in the November 13 NYC final with the organizer.

Judges review presentation materials, hear pitches, and ask questions. They assess each team's analysis, the feasibility of its proposed buyout, and how clearly students explain and defend their recommendation.

Join a panel for the virtual semifinal on November 6 or the final in person in NYC on November 13.
